About Our Cricket Bats

At OX29, every cricket bat is made with performance in mind. Whether you’re just getting started, playing regular club cricket, or looking for a fully custom bat built to your exact specifications, we offer handmade cricket bats to suit all players and budgets, from amateurs through to professionals.

All OX29 bats are handmade using carefully hand-selected English willow and finished with the same attention to detail, regardless of price point or grade. Every bat is built to perform.

Cricket Bat Grading and Performance

It’s important to make one thing clear - all numbered grades perform the same. The grade of a cricket bat does not dictate performance.

Cricket bat grading is based purely on the appearance of the English willow, in line with our own grading criteria, which can be viewed separately. This includes factors such as grain structure, blemishes, and overall visual aesthetics. Every bat is pressed, shaped, and finished to deliver performance on the pitch.

The only noticeable step up in performance and shape comes with Players Grade cricket bats. These are made from super low-density English willow clefts, which typically offer better ping and allow for a bigger, fuller bat profile. This means more bat volume for the same weight compared to standard grades.

Junior Cricket Bats - £150

Our junior cricket bats are made from English willow and manufactured in India. After visiting multiple factories and working with several manufacturers over more than 7 years, we selected a factory that meets our standards for quality and consistency.

We don’t make junior bats in-house, which is why they are priced at £150. They offer excellent value for young cricketers and avoid overspending on a bat that players will naturally grow out of.

Senior Cricket Bats
