The Mat is the modern version of this anti scuff sheet. It is slightly thinner than the Shiny, and keeps scale weight down while still protecting the blade.
The Shiny is the original version of this product. It is thicker but adds more scale weight to the bat.
The Mat tends to be favoured by bat makers, while the shiny is favoured by bat repairers and retailers, as this offers a bit more protection due to it’s thickness.
We are stocking the Shiny as of 31/01/2025, so if you’ve bought a clear roll from us previously, this will have been the Mat.
Both rolls are produced by the same company.
