SB Players Grade, 2lbs 9.7oz Low Middle, OX29 Handmade #539

Players Grade English Willow.

8 Grains, with a thin strip of heartwood

Low density cleft.

2lbs 9.7 on the scales now, so this will be a shade under 2.12 fully dressed one grip - but feels absolutely nowhere near it - again!

Beautiful mellow Players Grade ping

INCH SHORTER Blade, longer handle set up. Same overall short handle length bat - picks up like a feather.

Typical OX29 stock Players shape, with a slightly lower swell. Constant edge profile to help offset the lowness of swell, and aid the pickup. Spine is tight on the garage; the edges are slightly lower - watch the video for full explanation.

Slightly rounded toe

Handle is a decent thickness, semi oval shape

Amazing pickup and balance as expected with these low density clefts - the handle thickness really helps the pick up

This is basically a clone of the previous 2 bats, however despite it being heavy on the scales I’d say this one picks up lighter again.
